I am Professor Poster. The mission which I have chosen to accept is to champion the people and you, my fellow citizens of Posterville. Allow me to guide you based on my over thirty years in the field of "art of the times". Rock Art or Art Rock, it makes no difference. I eat, breath, and live in and through it. Born in San Francisco in 1950 made me a prime candidate for this slot which I fell into and am still consumed by.
A long-time friend, confidant, or acquaintance of renown artists, musicians, and personalities such as Alton Kelly, Stanley Mouse, Wes Wilson, Victor Moscoso, David Singer, Jim Phillips, Chet Helms, George Hunter, Allen Cohn, Mike Dolgushkin, Walter Medeiros, Jay Kastor, David Getz, Duane Eddy,
Peter Albin, Paul Grushkin, Herb Green, Howard "Dr. Johnny Fever" Hessman, Gregg Allman, Todd Rungren, Chuck Berry, James Brown, Sy Klopps, Country Joe McDonald and the late Rick Griffin, Bill Graham, and John Cipollina to name a few.
- Unofficial Archivist, Historian, and Ambassador of Good Will for the Family Dog (family member since I was just a pup)!
- A veteran of the Avalon Ballroom, Carousel Ballroom, Fillmore, Longshoreman's Hall, Winterland Arena, Fillmore West, Straight Theater, California Hall, Matrix, Human Be-In, Acid Tests, Altamont, Rainbow Family, Hog Farm, Diggers, Continental Ballroom, Maritime Hall, Golden Gate Park concerts, and far to many more that could be mentioned.
I've made many friends along the way and given no reasons for ill will or burned bridges. For this I am truely, yet humbly proud, and filled with grace. Thank you Lord! I feel that no man is superior to another because we all have something to share and offer one another. Attitude is the key. Unity and Brotherhood is the goal. There is only now. Our only choice is how now is! The sharing of knowledge on any subject is our responsibility and duty to our fellow man. And on this note I offer to one and all whatever I can in the area in which I excell. In other words, I'm at your service!
While we're here in Posterville, let me give you a bit of a look around. This will be somewhat of a personal guided tour. What's your pleasure? There are so many directions to go....
Return to Posterville!
