"MAG * RACK"

Updated - November 22, 2000

Recently the Professor re-discovered a large trunk long forgotten. It contained a sizeable amount of choice magazines scaning the fields of Rock`n Roll, Soul, Folk, Jazz, Country , R. & B., Musicians, both living and departed, Festivals, Poster artists and their artwork, the Underground Sub-cultures, of the 50's, 60's, & 70's! It's a great assortment where there's alittle something everyone. They include past issues of * NEWSWEEK * TIME * LIFE * PEOPLE * EBONY *DOWNBEAT * JET * to name just a few. There are multiples for many of them. Values are based on the rarity and condition of each. Even so, they all fall into the $5-$20 range! If you are interested in adding any of them to your own library, they are available on a " gett'em while they last " basis! Now, "Shhhshhh" .... I'm read'in here!

Here are acouple of oldies,. "DOWNBEAT" was a trade magazine, published back before most of you were even aware of the music scene. On the cover it reads: "Everything in the world, about the World of Music" The issue on the left dates back to June 16,1954! The other one is from may 7,1952! They open up double-size newspaper style. They definetly contain some interesting material....for those of you so minded. Needless to say, these are the only copies. The fellow on the left cover is Anthony Benedetti...or "Tony Bennett" as we know him today.

There are FARtoo many more to mention here! I can tell you this though,... there is enough to keep even the most avid reader busy for months! I'll be happy to answer any questions regarding them. Call or Email the Professor. Meanwhile I'm gonna brush-up on some reading myself!
